Adjusts pH to 5.0-8.0.
Designed for use in plant aquariums
Converts Carbonate Alkalinity (KH) to Available CO2
Phosphate free
Acid Buffer is acidic and Alkaline Buffer is alkaline.
Adjust the pH from 5.0 to 8.0. When the pH is lowered, the acid buffer decreases the carbonate alkalinity (KH), resulting in the release of carbon dioxide CO2. An acidic buffer can be used to safely lower the pH in seawater.
Application: To lower the Ph, use 2 g (1/4 spoon) for every 80 liters daily until the required level is reached. This dose lowers the KH by 0.6 dKH. Best results are obtained by applying directly to the aquarium. If the water is very soft or has insufficient buffering, we recommend using Alkaline Buffer. In water with high hardness (KH), a higher dose may be required.
To achieve the required Ph, use these proportions:
Acid Buffer Alkaline Buffer pH
1: 0.5 5.0
1: 1.0 6.0
1: 1.3 6.5
1: 2.0 7.0
1: 2.5 7.5
1: 4.0 8.0
