Skapers often use special substrates (primers) that have been specially adapted to their requirements. Unlike "ordinary" substrates (sand, gravel), this substrate is not neutral for water, but gives a softening effect. This substrate makes the water softer and acidifying the aquarium is enough to change the pH value slightly in the acidic area.
* Creates optimal water parameters for shrimp aquariums. JBL ProScape substrate creates a slightly acidic pH and a lower KH value in the aquarium, as well as in many tropical waters.
* Ideal for shrimp farming. Its softening effect of the substrate is ideal for keeping shrimp and other animals that prefer slightly acidic water.
* granulation of the soil ensures optimal supply and circulation of oxygen inside the earth. This stimulates microorganisms to settle, making the substrate an effective biotope.
HOW TO USE
The JBL ProScape Shrimpsoil substrate has already been pre-cleaned. To remove the dust that has appeared from the abrasion of particles from each other on the way, we recommend rinsing the soil before use in the aquarium. Please add water carefully to avoid shaking the soil. To prevent the accumulation of minerals, replace 50% of the aquarium water every 2-3 days for the first two weeks. Since the water values depend on the water source and the intervals between water changes, the softening effect will gradually decrease.
