Silicates (salts of silicic acid) are the cause of the growth of ugly diatoms. Using the test, you can determine the content of silicates to control the growth of diatoms in fresh and sea water,
the laboratory comparator system takes into account the color of the water: fill the cuvettes with water, add reagents , place the cuvettes in the comparator block, determine the value on a color scale
Application: when starting the aquarium, to check the tap water and in case of problems with diatoms
