Nutrient cycles in an aquarium, such as the removal of nitrogen compounds from food debris, fish feces, are critical to achieving biological balance in an aquarium. Microorganisms are mainly responsible for removing contaminants, which settle on the hard surfaces of the aquarium and in the filter. There is intense competition between different types of microorganisms as each population wants to grow as large as possible. Algae growth is supported if there are too many nitrates in the water and flora and fauna can be damaged.

The billions of active bacteria contained in OAse WaterBalance Boost Bacteria effectively and quickly reduce too high concentrations of nitrates in water. The bacteria provide immediate biological activity in new aquariums, reduce start-up times and extend the life of filter systems.

Dosage: one measuring spoon per 50 litres
Maintenance dosage: one measuring spoon per 100 litres
You can put eSHa Aquabacter in the filter or in the bottom or you can sprinkle it into the water (do not sprinkle into the water when using UV filters).
