Biopellets provide targeted degradation of nitrate and phosphate in saltwater aquariums. Designed for use in a reactor.
Biopellets consist of 100% biodegradable polymers, which are both the basis of colonization and a source of nutrition for bacteria intended for the degradation of nitrates and phosphates.
Bacteria use NP Biopellets as a carbon source (energy source), and nitrates and phosphates in the water in the aquarium as a source of nitrogen and phosphate. Waste NO3 and PO4 are thus converted into microbial biomass extracted from the aquarium by a skimmer.
The waste generated during this transformation also provides an additional source of nutrition (bacterial plankton) for filtering organisms (corals, sponges, etc.).
* Available in 1 l and 400 ml
• A dispenser spoon is included
Biopellers should be used in specially designed "reactors".
We recommend using one of the AQUARIUM SYSTEMS reactors:
• AS Marin REACTOR S
• AS Marin REACTOR M
Depending on the flow rate of water in the reactor, either phosphates (with fast flow) or nitrates (with slow flow) can be degraded.
